Responsibilities:

The product specialist main responsibilities are to be involved in studying the market trends, understanding the client’s needs, delivering products that meet expectations and designing strategies that help in stabilizing the product in the market and making sure that it generates maximum profit for the organization.

• Development of new product prototypes and optimization to existing products.
• Improvement of existing products by optimizing product attributes.
• Development and maintenance of accurate records related to the products such as formulas, label development, production process, HACCP, product specification, nutritional data, shelf life, etc.
• Responsible for raw material assessment (new source supplier/new sample approached)
• Support evaluations and risk analysis of new or existing ingredients
• Evaluate new raw materials and conduct sensory analysis with a cross-functional group.
• Evaluate technical specification documentation for compliance with the Company requirements
• Provide basic application samples and usage recommendations, as needed.
• Develop processing parameters with current equipment for better efficiency and yields.
• Provide technical support to customers seeking product information and advice as it pertains to product application/usage levels.
• Promote Nutraceutical and Skin Care product through good knowledge product
• To update the healthcare professional on the latest progress and development of the products
• Participated in event, conferences and seminars
• To coordinate with administration and warehouse to ensure sufficient stocks
• To ensure products are delivered to customer on time as per customer’s requirement
• To provide training to customer when needed
• To provide product training or to share product information to colleagues especially those newly hired
• To perform any other work as and when required

Requirement

• Candidate must possess at least Degree in Food Science, Herbal Science, Food Technology, Biochemistry, Nutritionist or any related discipline
• Candidate with at least 1 year working experience in the Nutraceutical / Skin Care industry will be an added advantage
• Required language(s): English, Mandarin & Bahasa
• Candidate who excellent in speak, read and write in Mandarin will be an advantage
• Good interpersonal, highly self-motivated, communication and negotiation skills
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Experience in trade or consumer
• Possess own transport and prepare to travel occasionally
